About

Our children’s home will provide a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for children aged 7–17 with SEN and complex needs. We understand the challenges children may face and work to create stability, consistency and a sense of belonging where they can feel secure and thrive.

We will prioritise each child’s wellbeing, learning and development. Our team works closely with parents and carers, social workers, education and health professionals to deliver personalised care plans and an inclusive, child-centred approach where every young person feels valued and respected.

Our Core principles

  1. Behaviour is communication.

  2. Children’s development is individual and non-linear.

  3. Safe and secure base.

  4. Positive relationships support self-worth and confidence.

  5. Communication is central to wellbeing.

  6. Change and transition require careful support.

We believe that Team Care’s principles will help and guide children to navigate their lives healthier and happier as they move towards adulthood. We will ensure that they are able to connect with others and feel a sense of belonging. We know that young people may take time and every journey is different. Regardless of this, our core principles remain the same.

Access to healthcare

Our dedicated team will support children to access essential healthcare when needed, with local services close by and registration arranged promptly.

Developing Independence Skills

Life Skills and Independence

We aim to help children build everyday skills through age-appropriate support, including cooking, personal care, healthy routines, budgeting, and preparing for the next stage of their journey.

Education and Aspirations

Children’s voices are central to their plans. We will work with schools, tutors and professionals to support attendance, learning and progress, and we want to encourage interests and goals that build confidence and open future opportunities.
