Meet
Team Care Homes Teamies
At Team Care Homes, we plan to provide therapeutic, child-centred residential care for children and young people aged 7 to 17. Our homes are safe and nurturing spaces where healing, growth, and personal development are prioritised every day.
We are a dedicated team of professionals united by a shared mission to create brighter futures for young people. Our approach is shaped by compassion, individualised support, and a deep understanding of childhood trauma.
We believe lasting change happens through meaningful relationships and consistent therapeutic care. Our wish is for each of our homes to be tailored to meet the unique needs of every child, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and genuinely supported.

Principles for Team Care Children’s Homes
At Team Care Homes, our practice will be grounded in a clear set of principles that guide how we care for, support, and work alongside children and young people. These principles will underpin every aspect of daily life in the home and reflect our commitment to providing safe, consistent, compassionate, and high-quality care.
01
Behaviour is communication
We understand that children and young people communicate their needs, emotions, fears, and experiences through their behaviour.
02
Children’s development is individual and non-linear
We understand children develop differently based on their own personal circumstances, we will develop strategies based on each young person.
03
Safe and secure base
We offer a physically and emotionally safe environment where children will feel protected, valued, and cared for. Shaping relationships and routines for young people to thrive.
04
Positive relationships support self-worth
Children thrive when they feel accepted and respected. Our staff will demonstrate unconditional positive regard, ensuring that every child knows they are valued regardless of their behaviour.
05
Communication is central to wellbeing
We will actively support children to express themselves in ways that feel safe and meaningful to them. Staff will use clear, respectful and developmentally appropriate language, and will adapt communication methods where needed.
06
Change and transition require careful support
We recognise that transitions such as moving into the home, changes in placement, education, relationships, or routines can be unsettling. Staff will proactively prepare, support, and guide children through transitions, ensuring continuity, reassurance, and emotional safety.
